As I said it's the first prototype and it was all about the function itself. The bracket will be tapered to the largest possible minimum strength. You are welcome to write all your suggestions here and we can see what is feasible and affordable. I have been looking for 2 years for such an implementation and have not found anything like this yet. The people are milling material out of the original clamp to center the knife. This can't be the solution I thought. So give me your ideas and I will read them all carefully and hopefully build a useful tool. I know you can discuss about length and width. But the most important thing for me is to finally have a tool with which I can make sure that the angles match perfectly on both sides. cheers Hanns

it took a little more time than i thought but it will be worth it. here you can see the prototype of my double-sided closing clamp. finally the knife will be clamped in the center no matter how, it is centered. always the same cutting angle on both sides. this prototype will be reworked but it already works great.

so this will be the last video to introduce my accessories which I offer for the Tormek or equivalent machines.
From now on I will do again what my channel was born from: "Grinding knives".
I have several projects in progress in collaboration with clients of mine who have sent me many suggestions for videos. These I will implement bit by bit. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to use the contact form on my homepage.

Yes
Vadim cant deliver a long time so i get Contact to the Manufactor and order my own.
after the people here in Europe saw my videos, the whole thing really got to me. So I decided, either completely or not at all and have all parts I use produced by myself and sell them with the CBN-Wheels in my shop. At the moment it is a little bit difficult to deliver to the USA because the freight costs have risen extremely due to covid-19. on top of that there is a different fee depending on the postcode. therefore i only send to the states after clarification of the freight costs by mail.

Neat! Thanks for giving it a try and sharing your initial impressions.

I'm curious: when grinding with the side of the wheel, do you need to limit yourself to the portion of the wheel that travels through the water, or is the full side available for use?

Because of this my CBN Wheels have only a 3 centimeter coated side. this is the maximum ur stone runs into the water. rest is dry. but to be honest i never test it. should do next time :)

I dont want to open a new tread but i like u guys informed that at the moment due to covid-19 the shipping to US is very expensive.  a parcel fom 1 up to 10 Kilogramms cost minimum 50-60 Euro.
So i think i stop to deliver small parts.
Best will be if someone like to have some items that u order with 2-3 guys together and send then in the states to ur friends.
I disable the shipping to US and Canada because i want to clear before a Order the shipping costs

I am sorry 4 that but cant do nothing against.

Cheers

I can understand you Ken, I just often think "I only just learned that". It's just always the same answers. If some people would use the search function it would be surely simpler. That was also no criticism but I noticed that many people want to have the calculation of the angle and any distances instead of trying something themselves.
my approach was
.....  all try and error :)

so this is just me??? of the first 10 posts, 5 of them are about some kind of angle adjustment!!! do you actually have to open a new tread every 2nd day? just a thought from me when i look at the top 10 treads.

@ MrSwede
the easy way to find out if u have a wire edge is to cut cigarett paper. only lower bess than 100 can do a pushcut at cigg paper. and if u have under 100 bess u have nomore wire edge :)

i think u hav`nt debur good enough. do a few passes over a stroping leather and u will come down to 150 easy. a 27 degree u get realy sharp also, depends on deburing i think.
