Notification about new jigs

Jan,

I anticipate the arrival soon of an Alan Holtham video on the new SE-77 Square Edge jig. As I have posted, I believe the new SVD-186 gouge jig is a good investment for turners currently using the "old" SVD-185. From what I have read about the upcoming SE-177, I will probably feel the same way about it.

With the other quietly modified jigs, Tormak must have felt the changes were minor and did not warrant any publicity.

I enjoy Alan's videos and look forward to his (hopeful) SE-77 video.

I received the text version of what Jan shows.  (not html email, probably my settings not theirs, because it didn't look like they configured it for text mail).

Also, I thought Jeff logged in, once, in 2015, but not under his name.  Under a different moderator account (which isn't found in the members list).

Going off searching for it: http://forum.tormek.com/index.php?action=profile;u=27681
Shows 2015 as the last time logged in (Sept).
So is this one Sweden, or something established in the transition from Jeff to Sweden (that they both used for a bit).
I know Jeff has a life (he has posted some other video's on Youtube), this isn't his only thing to do.  But do thank him for all he did.

Yeah you know Tormek have reached sharpening nirvana when you get a prosthetic hand as part of the standard package :/)

Good memory,, SADW. I had forgotten "Mr. Moderator". I think that was a transition for the time period when Jeff was essentially leaving the forum.

Incidentally, Jeff is alive and well. In his early Tormek days, he also sold turning tools. He is an accomplished turner. He now sells turning tools and seems happy with his new career path.

No need to call me Mr Moderator. "Hail, Caesar" is fine.  :)

My memory has got me in trouble on some other forums. Same with my searching ability.
Great to know what Jeff is up to.  I figured he may have retired.
By the time I found out Jeff started locally, he was mostly moved.  I thought when I met him in 2004 (and he was very busy), that he was a professional, show demonstrater.  I missed the local opportunity.

Thanks Caesar. ;)

Jeff's alive, well and kicking in fact.  In many respects where he is now is a good place for him to be because he has a deep love of turning and the company he now works for specialises in the manufacture of a whole array of different aids to the wood turner.  The scope of which is well beyond sharpening.

For a woodturner it must be like a kid in a candy store (sweet shop we would say in Blighty) :-)
Best.    Rob.
