Both ways will work.
If you are batch sharpening, for customers say, then the calcapp is great for setting your usb to a set angle for a set blade projection. Then you need a batch of old style , adjustable svm jigs to enable you set the correct projection for each knife. Just one set up for as many knives/svm jigs you have.
The new angle setting jig and kj jig really comes into its own for say just one knife here and there or a batch of differing knives, grinding angles, blade thicknesses etc.
For example, I just sharpened a dozen kitchen knives all at 15 degrees/side using the first set up. Saved a load of time!
The same customer gave 2 non typical knives to sharpen with extra thick blade stock , wide blades and requiring 20 degrees/ side. The angle setter and self centring kj45 made set up quick and easy.

Please add this to the manual Tormek and make the adjustable stop available again

In order to be able to hone in a controlled manner without any problems, the stone must be removed. This makes the proposed method cumbersome and time-consuming.
That's why I use the "old-fashioned" jigs with adjustable stop. Then you also replace the repeated use of the KS-123 with a setting of the protrusion (which is also part of the KS-123 adjustment).
Keep it simple, ask for an adjustable stop.

Two wheels on a Tormek?
They interfere with each other when sharpening.
That's also the reason I have to remove the wheel if I want to use the honingwheel.

What do you mean by "exact"? By using the KS-123, the angle "exactly" becomes the value you choose on the scale. You have to trust that scale, but that also applies to the values given by the digital angle gauge.

Based on the film, you can have all kinds of suspicions of problems that may occur, but believe me, using the KS-123 is very convincing in its simplicity, precision and speed of use.
I even ordered the MB-102 now to be able to use the KS-123 with the honing wheel as well. But it's a pity that I also have to pay for that side piece for use with the side of diamond wheels.  I will only use the MB-102 as a vertical base, replacing the construction I have now.
