Recommendations for diamond lapping paste in the US?

Recently acquired some paper and felt wheels and I was hoping to get some recommendations for diamond paste.  I see Vadim would recommend THK, but that looks like it may take a month to ship.  Was hoping to get started sooner.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, Nate.

Do an online search on "Ken Schwartz". He is the guru of diamond solutions.

CB just informed me that Ken Schwartz passed away last year. The sharpening world has lost another valuable member. The search might still help you.

My THK orders always come very fast - 7-10 days from Hong Kong to Vancouver, Canada. They overestimate the shipping time on Ebay so they dont get bad feedback for "slow shipping"

I'm using pastes from Tech Diamond Tools, which work well for me.  Price is quite reasonable relative to the competition, and available on Amazon.

Perfect.  I appreciate it!

You should not use diamond pastes on felt wheels, only diamond solutions in alcohol. See Vadim's video https://youtu.be/-HBpsQn7frY

Good point!  Anyone know of a source for diamond sprays in alcohol emulsion?  All of the sprays I see are water based.

And why not?  I have been using THK paste on my felt wheel for years without issue. It can be a bit messy, but works.

I scanned through that video but didn't find a reason, but I didn't listen to the whole thing.

Quality is like buying oats.  If you want nice, clean, fresh oats, you must pay a fair price. However, if you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, that comes at a lower price.

THK came in a week.  Unfortunately the paper wheels I ordered in the US haven't even shipped yet.

Bump! I got my felt wheels and now I am on a quest to find some diamonds-in-alcohol. I see some in Australia and not much in the US.

May be https://consumables.alliedhightech.com/Diamond-Slurries-Alcohol-Based-p/diaalc.htm is a source.

Cool! I sent them a quote request couple hours ago. How much do they change for 480ml?
...speaking of which, half-liter is way too much for a single user. If they sell it to me, I will gladly re-package and sell it in smaller bottles :)
