I've been reading all I can and finally completed my setup with help of my close friend. I just sharpen as a hobby and something to do in my retirement. Though some would be interested in my setup.

You are born weak & frail, and you die weak & frail.  What you do between those is up to you.

Very nice setup! I'm impressed!

Is the riser for the right side T8 water trough 3D printed? (I use two stacks of two hockey pucks each).

Its the regular T8 water trough. I just put a couple rubber blocks under the wheel. Problem I'm having with it is the water from the knife drops on the drive wheel and doesn't turn. I made a "Rube Goldberg" AL cover when sharpening that solves the issue, just looks like hell.

Right, I initially thought I could use that as an argument along the "look darling, some hobbyists have much more stuff than I do", but she'd immediatly point out how professional and clean this all looks.

Great job !!!

I just folded some aluminum foil and had the water run into the lower pan. I'll get a picture of it, however, kind of embarrassed. I'll comeup with a permanent solution in the next few days.

There are "Drip Trays" being made (or you can print your own if you have a 3D printer).
