Honing Properly

If you have a knife mounted in a fixture and have set
the proper angle for grinding using the guide bar, can
one make the assumation that moving the guide bar
to the "honing "position (with no changes on either the
guide bar or fixture seetings) one will obtain a good
hone on the blade when making contact with the honing wheel? Or does it need to be re-adjusted each time?

Your grinding wheel is 10 in.(250 mm) and your honing wheel is 220mm. You will have to readjust the angle guage to 220mm and then set your angle again  to hone properly
