Round Skew Chisel

I have a Robert Sorby round skew chisel. I love it for smalll detail work. But I'm having a hard time trying to sharpening it. Which jig do I use? It is a 1/4 inch chisel.  thanks Hat

A new (from 2008 forward) SVS-50 will hold a round skew.  Earlier versions of the closed seat skew clamp will not hold round skews, but a new closed seat can be purchased in the USA from the parts section of the Sharp Tools USA web site.  Here's a link:

The part you want is diagram key #2.

When clamping a round skew in the closed seat, I have found it is very effective to put the jig on the Universal Support, align the bevel of the tool onto the grindstone and then clamp it.  Otherwise, it is quite difficult to get the tool centered in the jig properly.
