Balancing Knives

Newbee to jointer / planer knief sharpening.

I have read elsewhere that knives should be balanced when they are sharpened.  What is the Tormek view on this or does the Tormek sharpening process yield balanced knives "automatically" when done correctly?

Al,

If you follow the recommended procedure, your knives will all be exactly the same size when finished.  Barring any weird fluctuations in density, that should mean that they will be perfectly balanced, as well.
