Using wooden stop blocks is discussed in the DVD which comes with the Tormek turner's information box. I consider this a must have item for Tormek turners. It costs around $30. I consider it the best video production Tormek has ever done.

I would imagine the Twice As Sharp style machine would be a little more easily utilized. The grinding would be perpendicular to the blades as mentioned above.

Having just finishing the new video, thanks to Tormek for the presentation.

Without being critical, I  also wondered about the scissor deburr process. Without mentioning the name of the sharpening system, I received a training video in regard to that system. They utilized the deburring method that Steve B. shows. As I recall, they emphatically said to never close the blades on the burr before doing as Steve demonstrates doing 2 or 3 times.

The simple answer is yes in regard to the standard SG-250 and SG-200, in my opinion. The full size of the larger stone is 250 mm diameter and it is wider as well. To some people a wheel measuring 200 mm on a T7 or T8, is pretty well worn out. One with a 175 mm diameter is Very worn out. If one does mathematical comparison of the prices, for what you get, the 250 mm is well worth the cost.
Someone else can give you a better answer than I in regard to the exotic wheels.

Very excellent presentation. This is something I can have my son watch since he sharpens our knives using my Tormek. It is difficult for me to do nowadays because of very restricted left arm useage. Am looking forward to future episodes. Also am glad that it is archived for future viewing. I missed the live presentation this morning here in central USA, but the YouTube archive works well.

While it not the most ideal solution, you could fabricate a trough for your machine.

I have experienced disappointment with the DMT Aligner plate's longevity. After following discussions here, I figure too much pressure was applied. Light pressure seems to be fundamentally essential. However, I fully understand your reservations. Time will yield true long term answers. As of now, one does not have a 7 to 10 year track record to observe.

   I have used a wheel that was cracked across the width of the stone. Other than it causing the stone to wear out quicker, it didn't cause me problems. I didn't use it regularly. When the stone would become uneven at the crack area, the TT-50 was used. I never had any problem with tools tending to catch.

The above was posted in 2016. I still feel the same way except it would now be a T8 (or T4) instead of a T7 I would recommend.

What is the model number of your bench top drill press? Is the spindle Morse taper #2? What is your floor drill press in the background?

I am using an imported bench model that has a Jacobs Taper #2 1/2. I need to replace the chuck, which is no longer made apparently. A JT #6 specs are very close to that of the #2 1/2 but is minutely different according to the specs I have found. I am thinking that an older drill press in good condition would probably be a good way to go.
