General Tormek Questions / Re: Honing

I've been honing supersteels on a T8 with a leather wheel, and what's worked best for me so far is an alcohol-based 1µm diamond slurry from Hyperion. Loads smooth, doesn't gum up, and gets me consistent low BESS scores without much fuss.

Just chiming in—I've been using an alcohol-based diamond slurry from Hyperion lately and it's been working great on felt wheels. Clean application, consistent finish, and doesn't gunk up like some pastes I've tried before. Worth a look if you're still exploring options: https://www.hyperionmt.com/en/products/diamond-compounds/slurries-suspensions/
