Hi, I use the flat side of the SG 250 quite a lot and am thinking it will get dished at some point.

What do we think of using the grading stone to 'true' the side of the stone back to flat?

Scissors Sharpening / Re: Deburring?

Hi, thanks.

So yes,it seems the advice for scissors and other similar tools is not to deburr but to run them over end grain of wood, or to close the scissors with a bit of lateral pressure on each blade to make them rub tightly.

Thanks very much

Scissors Sharpening / Deburring?

Hi there, I often see folk say not to deburr scissors on the stropping wheel, but to run the edge over the end grain of some wood instead.

Is that the recommendation? And, if so, is it the case for all scissort action tools such as sheers or secateurs?

Thanks!
