General Tormek Questions / Tormek 2000 and SG-250
January 05, 2025, 02:40:42 AM
I also was given a SuperGrind 2000 some years ago.  The expense on these machines is quite high. Luckily, they are really easily updated.  True up with the TT-50 jig and do what I did and replace the guide, shaft, water tray ect. I used sharpensupplies.com for parts. Or, just dive in and start sharpening and see if it is your thing.  I must warn you it is addicting.  I am a newbie too and I'm searching the house for things to sharpen.  8)

Have watched em both........I have watched so many, I'm getting a Swedish accent when I talk.  I guess in the KS-123 vid they just kinda center it.  I spect the difference in length doesn't mean much.  BTW Thanks

Knife Sharpening / KS-1`23 newbie question on setup

If you have a blade with an extreme curve/bow like a skinner.  What part of the blade do you use for setting up the tool?  Do you kind of center it? Just coming out of a stroke, first time using Tormek since 2021.  I am a bit behind, I don't know how far back I should hit the archives.
