I can't find all the parts of the T-2 jig right now, but pretty sure I was able to pull off the plastic guide clip (which is what restricts the knife size), and just lean a knife against the side of the guide.  May have to manually set the angle, but I think it's doable.

Edit:  I found a post that might help...  https://forum.tormek.com/index.php/topic,3371.msg20652.html#msg20652

Nice find. I looked through the posts but missed that one. Deff looks doable. And use it as a slight guide thanks. Then possible maintain the proper bevel not completely freehand.

Tormek T-1 and T-2 / Large/tall knives in t2

So has anyone managed to use the t2 on tall blades? I have one knife that's 18" long and about 3" and tapers to around 2 1/4".

Also where can I source a replacement  plastic guide. I may or may not try and modify the one it came with. Haven't received the sharpener yet so not sure.

T4 or 8 is not ideal as I don't feel like messing with water trough etc. I usually use my edgepro with diamond plates for my smaller knives. The t2 looks like a quick and easy way to get a decent edge.
The large knife I would "gasp" run a carbide sharpener down the edge. Don't judge me lol.

Also knife in question in case anyone was wondering.
