Been back to the drawing board and came up with what is hoped to be a self centering knife jig,using various parts from former knife jigs.Still some refinements to make but its a start on the quest for the proverbial self-centering knife jig.Thanks all for the valuable info & pics.Also drilled and tapped the rods in several places to be able to set different distances.Insight & info welcomed,Regards,Steve

The self centering of the jig, was a misquote on my part.Whoops!! 8)

Gleaned  lots of valuable info from different jig and came up with this,using a Brass propane T fitting,parts from Tormek and other jigs.So far it seems to work.Thanks all for the insights.Regards,Steve

Recently bought the Tormek T-8 new from Advanced Mach. Just want to say thanks for the wealth of knowledge that is available here.Have already made the 2 different types of collar jigs for the small knife sharpener plus the attachment for controlled honing.Have previous experience in the sharpening process of knives & wood working tools,but this has taken it to a whole new level.Will post pics later as time permits.Regards-Steve
