With my old bowl gouge jig the black grommet is a solid ring like a washer. I just bought the SVD 185 and the black grommet has a split in it. Looking at it closely it appears it was made this way. Does anyone know if this is true.

I do not remember the dealer, they were listed at the bottom of either amazon or ebay for additional $26.00 they would swap the wheel out, which was the cost difference between the wheels.
