General Tormek Questions / Can my wheel be damaged by cold?

I use my T7 at the local farmers market and had a question about the wheel. When you use it, it gets wet (duh 
) But what if it then freezes? I keep it in my garage, which is not insulated and therefore freezes. Can that damage the wheel?
