General Tormek Questions / Re: honing oil
April 26, 2012, 10:08:17 AM
Just looked at Jeff's very useful video on the honing wheel and solved a  long time question that I have been pondering since childhood, here in the UK.
" What was Yogi Bear saying  ? " Well now I know...." just a dab'll do !" Yogi must have been a Tormek user as well.  :) Thanks for all the helpful videos Jeff..  Geoff (UK)

When sharpening spindle moulder ( shaper ) profile cutter with the SVP 80 jig do you need to sharpen / grind the limiters as well.

Thanks for the reply Jeff. Can you re-grind on the Tormek or do you need the bench grinder kit?

Thanks giff

Hand Tool Woodworking / Bevel angles on chisels
August 01, 2010, 12:03:08 AM
I have just purchased a T7 in the UK. My 1st attempt wasn't too good as I set the angle to 30 degrees on a chisel. In your video Jeff, you say that bevel chisels are 25 degrees. I think this one must have been sharpened badly previously. Should it be 25 degrees and can I just re-grind it to that. It's a fairly standard Stanley chisel with a yellow and black handle ( for reference). Thanks giff

General Tormek Questions / Which Jigs fit the T3
July 14, 2010, 09:30:40 AM
Hello
I have just joined the forum and am considering buying a Tormek T3. Initially I want to sharpen hand chisels and hand plane irons but perhaps more in the future. The main question is do all the jigs ( except the SVH-320 planer knife jig fit a T3 ? In particular the SVM -140, the SVD -110, and the TT-50 truing tool. How can I tell if the machine I order has the new SE-76 square edge jig. Does the machine come as standard with the micro adjust universal support. Sorry for a lot of questions. I am based in the UK. Thanks  Giff
