Wow that is fantastic Mike K. Unfortunately I don't have the room to have something that big.

I think I've sorted it.

Many years ago I made myself a small chest of drawers and put lockable casters on.
My machine sits on top and I do my grinding/ sharpening on that.
Now up to now all my jigs have been in the drawers and looking a mess.
But now I have made myself some foam inserts where you draw around your jigs and
then cut them out.
All in all it's cost me £15 for the foam from

Hiya Ken,
I have never left water in the trough as it's always emptied immediately after use,
And I've always cleaned down the machine and used the cover.
Although my truing tool is the original I know I want the newest one as it's a
lot easier to use.
I have two u s bars with micro adjustments so I'm ok in that situation.
Finally the knife jig ( little one) unfortunately I dropped it and snapped the securing knob
ripping it out of the plastic hole making that part useless.
Regards Colin.

Hiya John, I was lucky  all my Tormek gear was covered up well and all the jigs were in the four drawers in my Tormek station that I made.
It does feel so strange to go on their website and see that it's totally different from what I had been used to.😱

I'm so happy that they do care about the people who still have their old machines, after all not many companies do this day and age.👍👍

Well it's time I spend some time on YouTube and see what's going on.
Regards greggy.👍

General Tormek Questions / Tormek 2000

Hello all,
Let me first say due to heavy work loads and health problems in the past
It's a very long time since I was on here last.

I have the 2000 since it first came out. I can't remember when.

I didn't know that a few of my jigs are now outdated and replaced by better ones.
So I am now having to start all over again ( well nearly) 😁
Anyway please excuse me while I start to read up on all the gossip.
Regards Greggy.
