General Tormek Questions / Tormek T-3

I just found out about this model and I'm sure glad I did, other than the smaller wheel and plastic body what are the other differences?  I know the weight would be less as well.  Thanks!

hi, do you use the leather wheel freehand or does the clamp swing over?  Thanks!

Hi all, I have decided to buy the Tormek for sharpening knives mostly. I've always in the past used stones and a belt sander and buffer, but like the idea of being able to keeping the angle EXACT and being able to keep the machine indoors.  I don't think it would be messy using the Tormek inside my home....what do you guys think?  I also like the customer service support here and I know the machine is a quaility tool! Do have one question though, I like really fine edges and think that maybe I need the finer waterstone to begin with, can you order the unit with the optional finer waterstone?  Thanks!!

General Tormek Questions / Anglemaster
November 01, 2008, 06:25:43 PM
Hi, I'm a new member here and just ordered the Anglemaster and will purchase the Tormek later this year. I've always enjoyed sharpening knives and such and use to make knives.  My question is can the Anglemaster measure a knife edge under 15 degrees?  Thanks!!
