All references drawn from handbook version 9.7. Can anyone tell me what the correlation is between the 'Jig' numbers page 73 (which says the numbers go from 0-5, but clearly shows a 6) and the numbers on the shaft. The only mention I could find was on page 72, (the stop ring can be set for a convex bevel).
The 1-5 reference is a mistake. It is what editors refer to as a "legacy error". The scale for jig setting has just recently been expanded from 0-5 to 0-6. The images were updated, but the copy was not corrected.
The settings for the angle of the knuckle have no relationship whatsoever to the numbers on the shaft. The collar on the shaft allows the heel of the bevel to be ground off when it is pulled back. While the numbers may be an actual measurement, I find it best to think of them as only a relative reference.

What Craft Supplies has written is not affected by the change. The numbers on the shaft have not changed, nor have the positions on the knuckle, other than the addition of the sixth spot (provided your indicator arrow is in the correct location).
However, I think that most profiles presented in the Craft Supplies document can more easily be obtained by following the Tormek recommendations found here: http://tormek.com/international/en/accessories/other-accessories/tts-100-turning-tool-setter/ and in the documentation that comes in the TNT-300 Woodturner's Instruction Box (which I believe has the correct text with regard to the scale). Moving the collar back makes it less precise to control the bevel angle -- that is the purpose of the adjustment, to make a rounded rather than straight bevel.
