What is the difference between the SVM 100 and the SVM 140 other than the 100 being discontinued?

The SVM-100 has a clamping length of about 4 inches.  The SVM-140 has a clamping length of 5-1/2 inches.  Other than the wider clamping surface, the two are identical and work exactly the same.
