Title: Tormek Sharpening Music Playlist
Post by: Hugo Öhman on September 15, 2026, 10:52:37 AM
Hi all!

A while back we created a quite sharp Spotify playlist (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5U32t8sOzOIQkcuypWPs28?si=e549c551cc9c4218) for fun, to have something to listen to during longer sharpening sessions.

Hope you like it, and feel free to comment your submission idea! :D

Stay sharp!

Strange but true; i sometimes used Mozart's Elvira Madigan for timing my passes when freehanding on Tormek or Paper Wheels.
Not on an audio system but in my head.
I still think it improved both my sense of timing as well as the symmetry of my edges.

Interesting idea. Hügo.The two Eastman Kodak scientists who invented Kodachrome had to work in complete darkness. They were both orchestra players who used memorized classical music passages to time different parts of the process.

When I worked long sessions in my home photo darkroom, I used to enjoy listening to National Public Radio (US), especially the Prairie Home Companion.
