Title: Did ChatGpt lie to me?
Post by: boilerbengal on June 30, 2025, 04:57:02 PM
ChatGpt said that Tormek released an STL file for a water trough to be user 3d printed. i can't find it or anything related.

My dad whos mid 80's gave me his Tormek supergrind 2000, after a stroke i had, I bought a 3d printer. ( now I'm recovering I'm mixing the two hobbies.. ) Sharpening wood turning tools  So an STL file for a water trough to go with the old superGrind 2000 would be nice if anyone has such a thing.

Thanks

The only STL file I have seen from Tormek is for Tilt Feet. There are many STL files for different things that individuals have developed; they take some research to find.

Welcome to the forum, Gregory.

I think the ChatGpt has misinformed you. Here is a link to thewater trough spare part sold by Tormek.

Please note that for older machines, the correct part is designated T7. You could email support for verification. (support@tormek.se)

If you do a search on the various 3D printer sites such as Yeggi and Pintables you will get several pages of results. I don't recall a water trough though.
