Title: SVM 45 Dimensions
Post by: Alston on May 14, 2025, 03:05:40 PM
Can anyone confirm the dimensions of the SVM 45? Not critical but I've tried to scale a screenshot. It's just to give me an idea of the general size to aim for a custom jig I have in mind.

Width of jaws = 45mm

Interior length of adjustable end stop = 38mm

Length from end of jaws to adjustable end stop in neutral position = 120mm

Length from end of jaws to adjustable end stop minimal length = 113mmb

The SVM jigs made before had shafts which were 35mm longer. This extra length would be useful to keep paring knives at uniform Projection with wider knives.

i don't think exact measurements are critical for thesejigs.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks for that. I just wanted a rough starting point. With the design I have in mind the shaft will be a seperate screw in item so length could be altered easily at the expense of new material.

I like the idea of a separate screw in shaft.
