I recently purchased the Tormek T-8 Black and prior to using it, have read as much as i could on how to go about sharpening with a diamond wheel. Light pressure seems to be the name of the game.
However, when sharpening an axe with the SVA-170, my understanding is that you need to put some pressure on the axe to allow the jig to do it's job properly. This makes it quite hard to achieve a consistent angle, as i try to apply as little pressure as possible since that's what i've read you should do when sharpening with a diamond wheel.
Does anyone have experience sharpening axes on diamond wheels, and would care to tell me their method?
