Hi,
I'm a new user. ' just setting up this weekend. So far so good but one question. How do you mount 1/4" gouges in the SVD-185? Do you remove the pad/guide bar in the same way that you do for the SVS-50?

Remove the black plastic outer ring on the clamping pad, then align the pad parallel with the vee of the tool holder as it comes down onto the gouge.
