Title: Stone wobble
Post by: Sfant on December 19, 2022, 02:38:38 PM
Hi

I was recently given an old Tormek SA-250. The motor seems in good order but the stone wobbles. It looks like a nylon bush runs through a hole in the centre of the stone and is held in place by a washers at either end. Both these washers are no longer attached to the stone and the bush  is broken. Do you know if there is an easy fix for this problem? Ive attached a few few photos. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum, Sfant.

You should email your photos to Tormek support. They have an amazing amount of experience with older Tormeks. (support@tormek.se)

Please keep us posted.

Tormek got back to me and it doesn't look like they have anything that can fix it. I've ordered some flanged bearing bushes that seem to be the right size. Fingers crossed they might fit.

Thanks
