Title: Hand or jig?
Post by: JustADudeInSweden on January 31, 2022, 10:53:38 PM
Hey!

For these tiny pocket knives, is it all handheld or is some jig recommended?

Wolfgang demonstrates how to sharpen small Swiss Army knife blades toward the end of either the advanced knife class or the tips class. (Sorry, I can't find the exact reference now.) (Handheld)

Here is a link to the homemade small platforms developed on this forum. The narrow width allows both sides of the blade to be sharpened full length without repositioning the jig.

Here is the link to the Advanced Knife Sharpening Live video where Wolfgang discusses why he doesn't use the small knife holder (SVM-00) and instead freehand sharpens, edge leading, while bracing on the USB.
