hello and thank you for the add. just got a supergrind 2000 with a bunch of jigs and a stone grading tool. it has been in storage for 12+ years. is there any maintenance i need to do to it before i get started? motor, grinding wheel, leather wheel? how do i determine the stone is "True". it appears to have very little use.
thank you for your time.

Here's a bit from Tormek's website to get you started...
QuoteTormek machines are pretty much maintenance-free, but there are a few things you can do.
Check the main shaft yearly and make sure it has grease on it.
Check the nylon bushings, they should have lubricant on them.
Use white oil or light machine oil on the honing wheel to keep it soft and efficient.
After each sharpening session, lower the water trough (or the small steel particles from sharpening might stain the grindstone).

Thank you
Mike,
Here is what I've compiled: https://sharpeninghandbook.info/indexTormekMaintenance.html (https://sharpeninghandbook.info/indexTormekMaintenance.html).
By the way, I too have a Tormek 2000.
Kind regards,
Rich
