Title: Q2 inside bevels on gouges
Post by: Ukfraser on August 02, 2020, 02:52:13 PM
Am i correct that these gouges will still need to be sharpened by hand as the bevels are on the inside?

This I don't know... but you might want to take a look at Rich Colvin's site:

http://sharpeninghandbook.info/

He has a lot of info on how to sharpen various tools.

You can refresh the edges using the leather contour disks. For actual sharpening, I would use wooden dowels (matching the arc) with wet or dry sandpaper. Adhesive backed works well or you can use glue or Scotch tape.
When you are making up these dowel sticks, make them in several grits, including very fine.
