Finaly made one, didnt have time to test.
Got lot of ideas on internet, it is adjustable for long and mid size knifes. Any sugestiones?
Since you have gone this far I would research "pivot collars". It would be an easy addition and would expand the usefulness of your jig.
Just search here as there are a number of threads on the subject.
Got one of those but didnt use much.
Most knifes that i do are simple and no need for it.
Need to get some recuved ones to practice as my line with that colar is not so nice.

An old thread I know but that looks good. I'm looking to make a single clamp jig and may make something similar. Thanks for posting the picture.
I am all for creative ideas. However, the jig shown in this photo looks too large to be practical to me. The "standard" knife jigs, both SVM-45 and KJ-45, are designed for most knives. The wider jigs are only used with knives which are both long and slender, like a long fillet knife.
The jig in the photo looks like it is designed for very long, thin knives. In my opinion, I think it would be clumsy for most knives. Please let me know if other members disagree.

Agreed. I only need the centre part shown in the photo. As a result I should be able to make it much more compact.
Good thought.
