Hi Tormek
Iam starting a new scharpning 1 man firm. After 35 years break..
I have a water grinding system, but I will now buy a Tormek t8
My question is.
What I the difference between Japanese and diamond stone..
My primary will be knifes for professional and private

Welcome to the forum, Jan.

The 4000 grit Japanese wheel is a polishing wheel. It removes very little metal. The three diamond wheels are designed for sharpening, removing metal.

Before you invest in any additional wheels I would recommend giving the SG-250 (comes with unit) a good trial. You may find that is more than adequate for your purpose.
