Title: Extended Universal Support Bar for Chinese Cleavers and Long Knives
Post by: robincbailey on January 22, 2016, 01:27:46 PM
I know have a stock of Wider and Taller Universal Support Bars for sale via my website, these make sharpening wide cleavers and long carver knives a lot easier and possible as the std bar is too short and not wide enough.
You can purchase them via my website

I placed my order earlier this morning. I am pleased your extended support bars are finally available. I look forward to sharpening my favorite Chinese cleaver, and will post a review.

What are the dimensions of this new bar?

Unofficially, I measure  the horizontal bar at about 15 3/8", and the uprights at about 10".

BTW, this appears to be a better link...

I can tell you from using the unit I purchased from Robin that it does a nice job of sharpening cleavers. As my longest knife is only eight inches (200mm), I can only guess that it also does a fine job on longer knives.
