Hello
Woodcraft makes a device that will make a router varible speed.Do you
think this would work on 1 x 30 cheapo belt sanders and small grinders?

Ed,

I'm no authority, but I'm pretty sure that these speed controllers will only work on universal motors. these are the loud motors used by routers and circular saws. To my knowledge no grinders or belt sanders use universal motors.
