Title: micro bevel
Post by: Ronald on February 01, 2006, 10:59:06 PM
Hello,
Is it possible to set a Micro bevel on the Tormek for  chisels and planes or is the ease and speed of re-sharpening make it unnecessary?

Both.  ;D

If you want a micro-bevel, when you grade the stone to fine cut, work the whole bevel for a bit, then unlock the Universal Tool Support and turn the micro-adjuster up by between one half and one full revolution.

The TORMEK opinion is that a micro-bevel is counter-productive in most situations.  You're right, the speed of honing with the TORMEK makes the micro-bevel less attractive.
