Title: motor won't turn
Post by: krae on January 04, 2014, 10:57:36 PM
I have a Tormek 2000 and the motor is frozen. There is no movement at all. I have tried to remove the motor from the machine but one of the mounting screws is located under the pivot shaft of the mounting hardware. Is there a trick to remove this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Can't you remove the pivot shaft itself?  Mine appears to have a cap nut on one end.

The pivot pin doesn't have a cap nut. It is a press fit. Tap the bullet shaped end and the pin will come out, allowing the motor to separate from the frame.

Thank you for the advice. The pin tapped out. Now, lets hope I can get the motor to work.
