Based on what I read, I set the SVD-185 with JS=0, P=65, Loc=A and just doesn't seem right.  Has anyone had better luck with other settings?

JS=0 is not a very useful -- in fact just about useless -- setting. What are you trying to accomplish that you would choose setting "0"?  The SVS-50 would be more appropriate for anything you were trying to sharpen with no backsweep.
