Title: Tormek US-105 universal support with micro adjust nut

Does the Tormek made device described above have a "flat" on one side of one of the supports?

What is this piece of metal made from? Stainless steel or plated steel?

The newest version is stainless, without a flat milled on the rod. The top of the thread is flat, so the clamp will not distort the thread. The previous version had a milled flat section.
