Title: Meat mincer plates
Post by: piemar on November 10, 2010, 12:08:56 PM
Hi

I'm curious if it is possible sharpening meat mincer plates on T7, like these:

If anyone of you have already tried this?

Regards,

Martin

Martin, I have sharpened some of these meat slicer blades and I do them free hand, so you will have to take your time and see what works best for you.  I will say that it has been the 4 wing blades and that I have not done any of the round one's yet. Best of luck.

Thanks, Ken

I sharpen this 4 wing blades on TAS in clamp, but I am interested in precisely these round edges to make them perfectly flat surface. I tried on the inner side of the SG-250 but the effect was weak, because the material of this blade is very hard. Maybe the SB-250 will do the job better.

Many clients ask me about sharpening those round blades. I found a machine that does it but it is terribly expensive - F.Dick kl 205 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bMAzojfzOc).

I looking for a way how to do it at a lower cost, preferably using T7 :), maby some idea?

Regards, Martin.
