Lately when I change from one grit to the other my wheel will come to a stop. The shaft that turns the rubber wheel is still turning but the wheels are not. I have noticed that when pressure is applied to the grinding wheel the motor shaft moves downward and toward the back.
I have the Supergrind 2000 and though it is many years old it has less than three hours honing on it--I tend to buy and use later.
Any suggestions? I have tried sanding the rubber wheel with very little improvement and the sharpener has been covered during its none use.
Thank you,
Herb ???
Herb,
Try sandpaper on the drive tire again. Use it on the motor shaft, too. If that doesn't work, get in touch with me.
Thanks, Jeff!
