My question is why is the new device called KJ? The first thing that comes to mind is Ken Jig?

I think the density of 65 felt is too small.

I got the T4, then buying all the stuff seperate I regret not just buying the bigger one!

No need to regret. t4 works great. For a long time I had only t4 and I am absolutely satisfied with it.
Only after increasing the number of sharpenings did I purchase a used t7.
T4 is capable of a lot.

I have T4 and T7 (now it is T8). I need both. I do not understand how I managed to get by with one TORMEK And yet, if I had to choose only one of them now, it would be T8. First of all, I like the size and long life of the T8 grinding wheels.
The T4 is currently being used as a honing station. The T4 fits perfectly with the leather and composite wheels from the T8.

There is some advantage to this, if you pivot the knife to the tip, since it moves the pivot location.  But none if you lift the handle, that I can see.

Right!!! Since I sharpen knives primarily with laser guidance, the preferred way to stay on line is to turn the knife.

This problem can be solved with standard TORMEK tools with some modifications. But it will be interesting to see your work.

I completely agree that the SJ stone not only polishes, but also sharpens, and also creates a burr on the edge of the blade. Always after SJ I use a leather circle with chromium oxide.

Apart from my T4, I bought this LIMITED GRAPHITE T7 in excellent condition. I wonder how many of these cars have been sold?

My T-4 lets me ignore time.

Thanks Ken! I use about 10 different circles of different grain sizes on my T4. I use a variety of diamonds to dress the wheels. I also have a TT50 version of 2019. I also have a rust eraser. 

I was wonder if anyone has found an alternative for the TT-50 Diamond Bit? That part seems very expensive for what looks like a few specks of industrial diamond...

Just a quick search on aliexpress turns up very similar looking bits in the $5 range...

Also: why random specks and not a single point?

I am using TT-50 with some modification

For rough work I use METABO grinding wheels 60 grit and NORTON 100 grit. The METABO grinding wheels are available in 10 "sizes. Recommend.

Thanks Arthur, could you provide the part number for the Metabo? Anytime I start looking at abrasives I get lost in all the details ( type, grit, hardness, etc)
I just ordered a Norton 3X based on advise from here but it is only 8".

I'd like to know what the good 10" option is.

look at this: Metabo 10" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" Vitrified 60 Grit Part #:   655424000.  Or Vitrified Wheel 10" x 1" x 1-1/4", Type 1, A60 (655421000). Attention, adaptation to the Tormek shaft is required.

Can you provide any specs on the wheel and/or type of wheel that you are using, please?  I went to the Metabo website.  The make a lot of stuff and a lot of grinding/cutting discs, but I could not find grinding wheels.
