I have been charging $1 per inch of blade, with $3 minimum and $8 cap. Scissors are $8, including pinking shears. Hand pruners and loppers are also $8. Have a browse around Poppiesedge.com. for the rest of our service list and pricing.

General Tormek Questions / Vadim Kraichuk
January 19, 2022, 08:25:17 PM
I am sad to inform Forum members of the passing of Vadim Kraichuk, the well-known leader from Australia's Knife Grinders.
I learned this very unhappy news in response to a question I had sent to him 2 days ago. His son Daniel replied the next day that Vadim had died on January 11.
As a relatively lightweight Forum member, I am posting this at the request of Ken Schroeder. Ken reports that will be contacting Tormek's people in and supporting Australia and that he will pass along what he learns from them.

Thank you. The Aussie supplier is sold out at this point but I'll drop them a note and ask to be wait-listed. Thanks again. Garrett

General Tormek Questions / rock hard felt wheel
December 13, 2020, 05:47:34 PM
I just watched a YouTube video about sharpening serrated knives. The demonstration used a double-beveled rock-hard felt wheel to de-burr the serrated areas.
After checking the Tormek site as well as Amazon, I can't find such an item. can anyone offer guidance on this. Many thanks. Garrett

General Tormek Questions / Convex knife blade jigs
October 03, 2020, 11:07:24 PM
I am seeking am instruction video for using this jig for working on convex blades. Ken Schroeder advises that Rick Kruger is no longer making his jig.
I ordered from a maker in Germany, who proceeded to send it with ZERO instructions, Any suggestions or guidance welcome.
Thanks to all hands,
Garrett

General Tormek Questions / double-bit axe ?
August 28, 2018, 09:21:05 PM
I've been using the Tormek axe jig for a number of years with very good success. This past weekend, a friend dropped off a double-bit axe for which the conventional axe jig will not work.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions.
Thanks so much,
Garrett

Is there a jig for sharpening such tools as removable secateur blades such as the Felco products?
Thank you,
Garrett

Allow me to back up. My goal is to add a machine so I can have a separate unit with a Tormek Japanese water stone wheel. Any suggestions?
Thanks so much. I've owned my T-7 for 18 years or so.
Best,
Garrett

Ideally with a working motor. I can buy a new or used motor separately, if need be. I live in Pennsylvania, USA. Any guidance appreciated. Thank you.
