Planer Blade Sharpening / Planer jig price

Does anybody have a line on the Tormek planer jig #TOR-SVH320? It's 258.00 US. Looking for a lower price. Did find one $220.00 and that's in England but to me that's is still steep. Or should I bite the bullet and just get it. Any ideas

General Tormek Questions / Square end Chisel
October 15, 2012, 09:35:02 PM
I have the older Tormek it is the green one. Anyway I have tried and tried to sharpen a Japanese Chisel square I was told to get the Jig SE-76 and it will square up my chisels. Which I bought. I can get the chisel sharp but I can't seem to get it square on the end. I did buy the update support bar. How do I check to see if it is square to the wheel. I have some Stanley chisels and they won't square up either. That are not as bad but they still won't square. I know it is me doing something wrong. What is it?

General Tormek Questions / Which direction
May 23, 2008, 07:52:34 PM
I have a Tormek, And I have not used it much. Just never got around to it. Anyway I'm going to learn. Starting now. And my first question is, on sharpening plane blades, which direction does the wheel go. On the pdf square edge jig se-76 it shows the grinding direction towards the edge. And honing away from the edge. Does it matter which way. Thanks Hat
