Title: knife protectors source
Post by: Ken S on September 15, 2021, 11:23:19 PM
Occasionally, we get questions about where to get cardboard knife protector sleeves. Steve Bottorff just emailed me this:

These seem a good solution, especially when combined with an address label.

Hi if I can add my idea maybe it will help someone

I make my own covers quickly and alone if you have playful kids you can give them a playful task =D

I buy cheap air filters for my car on sale I choose the size of the fins that suit me . I reinforce the top see photo with hot melt gun /silicone. And then I just cut the price of the filter in the sale according to the type of e.g. 120 CZK / 5 euro ribs more than 50 according to the type

I go to hobby lobby, buy plastic sheets perferated. Cut to size and tape shut. You can see the knife thru the plastic holes.

USAKnifeMaker sells various widths in 18 inch lengths.  Works well for me.
I cut them to length as I need and put a company sticker on when returning knives to
residential customers.
Best wishes
