Title: japanese chisels
Post by: jkincaid on December 10, 2005, 06:49:01 AM
I just bought a set of japanese chisels. Considering the way they are made ( two types of steel laminated together) is it OK to use the tomek system? The question in my mind is.. will the top steel that supports the edge steel (I know, not stated that clearly) be compromised because of the hollow grind that results after grinding the bevel ?

The hollow from the TORMEK is so slight that it will not compromise the tool in any way.
