Title: Angle Measurement on Bowl Gouge
Post by: Bernie on June 20, 2005, 06:16:00 AM
I sharpened a bowl gougle on my Tormek for the first time today. Any suggestion on how to use the angle setting gauge on such a steep angle, inside the deep channel of the bowl gouge? The black angle plate wouldn't reach to the bottom of the U channel because of the grey backer. What do you recommend to do with the narrow gouges?

Thanks,
Bernie

It is quite difficult to use the AngleMaster on gouges. It is easier to use the check angles around the outside of the AngleMaster to check the finished grind, then adjust in needed.
