Not yet.  try some old Wiss and Fiskar's first.
My wife didn't know I had asked about her coveted gengers and I just read your response to me to her.  Her response; "You try and sharpen those scissors and I use then cut off........"   :P  Ops!

General Tormek Questions / Genger Scissors

Jeff,
Are you fimiliar with Genger (sp?) sewing scissors?  They cost a fortune are are very sharp.  My wife uses them in her sewing.  She also uses a wide variety of the scissors you use for demonstration.  DARE I try to sharpen the Gengers?  A couple of them are quite small.  Just curious.

General Tormek Questions / Re:Sharpening Knives

captain Ron,  I just sharpened my first knife - old and in very bad shape - and it cuts like a razor.  I sliced paper just like Jeff shows in his video.  You won't disappointed.

I just received my Tormek yesterday.  I started with a couple old knives that were in bad shape.  In about 3-4 minutes they were cutting paper like Jeff shows in his video demo. ;D  More importantly, I did it wrong and it still came out sharp.  I think this says a lot about the system.

I will say, tough, it will take some practice to get the technique down.  I am dissapointed about one thing.  I have a couple of Stanley chisels and they are too short for the jig.  I posted a question about it but haven't heard anything yet.  I know a "regular" chisel will work fine.

General Tormek Questions / Short Chisels

I have several Stanley chisels whose blades are 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" in length.  Bevel is 25 degrees.  Can't get the jig close enough to the stone to achieve the 25 degrees.  Is the blade length too short for the Tormek jig? :'(
