Easily Locked Nut

Hey Jeff, I tried my new T-7 yesterday for the first time... nice tool. However after grading the stone to fine I cannot release the easylock nut.  Before you ask, yes I am applying force in the correct direction (unless the label on the nut is wrong). I've gone to the extent of using a rag under gooseneck pliers. Any suggestions?

Doug,

Hold the honing wheel with one hand and the grindstone with the other.  Turn the grindstone (not just the nut) in the direction indicated on the nut.
