Honing gouges

I have an older Tormek. the new video shows using the 185 to hone an Ellsworth type grind. I find that the 185 runs into the leg of the support bar when I attempt to hone the gouge. Is there a mod to the support bar or 185 that will allow the gouge to lay over  ?

Unfortunately the extreme angle of the jig prevents its use when honing at this setting.  Personally, I freehand the honing of my gouges most of the time, even when the setting of the jig would allow its use.
