Hi, all I'm new here. This maybe a dumb question but here goes. Can the Tormek sharpen coal chisel's?

Thanks, Ed

Kansas,

I believe the term is "cold chisel" instead of "coal chisel", unless you're asking about something else.  A cold chisel is a solid steel chisel used to cut metal.  They have a very large cutting angle (short bevel).  They can be sharpened either freehand or with the Square Edge Jig on the Tormek.  Neglected tools may require quite a bit of work to reshape the bevel, but the steel is rarely hardened to the same degree as a woodworking chisel, so it cuts relatively quickly.
